I guess not everyone on the internet have a good knowledge about SEO which is an abbreviation of Search Engine Optimization. And not only the general public who uses the internet but some IT professional I’ve encountered in a forum. I was a little bit surprised because the guy knows website development but with regards to SEO, he have insufficient knowledge. He said that it has something to do with meta tags that you have to put something in those meta tags. I admit that meta tags are part of the SEO strategies but it was not everything. In fact it was already an “old school” so to speak. Playing with meta tags don’t work anymore compared to the mid 1990′s where you can fool a search engine by stuffing keywords on the keyword and title meta tags. I remember when I was doing it on AltaVista and it was so easy then to get traffic to my website. My first website then was a free website offered by Netscape and back then registering a domain is expensive about $75 each. Netscape free websites like the free Geocities doesn’t exist anymore.

Making money online is I think one of the easiest way to earn a living, and that is, if you are smart enough. I don’t consider myself very smart when it comes to making money online because I still am not earning six figure income. Making money online has various forms and one of those is pay per click (PPC) advertising. I think that is the easiest way to earn money online because all you have to do it register to an advertising network as a publisher and slap the ad code on your website then money comes pouring in. No need to produce a large capital to start-up an online business and no inventories to worry about. All you have to do is to produce as much visitors as you can to your website and those clicks and impressions of your ads in your websites will make you money just like a milking cow. I can imagine it as a goose that lays golden eggs.

This topic is for those who have already have a working hosted WordPress blog and already have it’s own domain name and a web hosting. After setting up your blog, the next thing that you must do is to choose a WordPress theme that suits your taste. On exemption is if you come to love the default WordPress theme that comes from the installer. Yes they are very simple and kinda ugly but with a little modification you can make it stand from the rest. There are also hundreds of free WordPress themes available in the WordPress theme website and you can Google other themes in the internet if those in WordPress theme website didn’t pass your taste.
Make Money Online By Blogging

There are many reasons why people blog or make their own blogs. One of the reason why some make their own blog site is to make money. There is a TV program in the Philippines that made blogging their topic and to sensationalize the show, the topic was centered on making money though blogging. But the big mistake done by that TV program is showing the masses that making money online is easy. They featured a blogger who was one of the pioneer in the Philippines whose topic was mostly high tech gadgets and revealed that he is making $5k to $6K a month. So who will not became very interested making that kind of money just sitting in front of the computer and blogging everyday? But in fact, before that blogger earns that much, he was also spending a lot of money buying those gadgets and it took years before he earns that much. If my memory serves me right, that TV program was shown last two years and I don’t know how much he is earning right now. He also have other online and offline businesses so my guess is his total income comes from those businesses and not only blogging.

Either if you are a novice blogger or a web savvy blogger this is one of the most important area a blogger should be concerned about. For a novice or a starting blogger, this is the foundation on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) because most search engine prioritize websites or blogs with a search engine friendly URL. On default the url usually looks like this http://www.yourdomain.com/?p=123 which doesn’t look good specially for the search engines. Aside from the meta tags, where you put the title, keyword and description for the search engines to read and place it on the search index (anyway Google doesn’t prioritize meta tags anymore but looks at the page content itself ) the URL of a website should have the necessary keywords for your blog to rank well in any given search. So instead of the /?p=123 it should be a word or group of words. For example this is more appropriate: http://www.yourdomain.com/tips-on-blogging.
Installing WordPress for Dummies

Hoping you are not offended by the title of my post. Actually the “for dummies” only means “for the rest of us” and there is no pun intended. Actually, there are already some articles you can read on how to install your open source software called WordPress but I wanted to have my own version which I think can help other bloggers out there who wish to create their blog using the WordPress platform. Either you have already have a blog in Blogger.com and wish to migrate to WordPress or you wanted to start a new blog using WordPress, there is basically one thing you should do for the first step. And that is to register a domain, pay for the hosting and install the WordPress software. Since the topic on this post is only for WordPress installation, I’ll skip the very first step on creating your blog like for example the niche you are going to take because I assume you already have one. I also assumed that you know how to upload files in your hosted web server and already have a domain registered.
Blogging Your Way Up

I guess this is very obvious to tell you that this was my very first post in this new blog I created. Many times I refrain from making a blogging advice or an online money making tips blog because I’m not an expert in this field compared to some very few six figure top notch blogger in cyberspace. But every blogger is different and this what makes a unique blogger an important part of this community of bloggers. Everybody has their own opinion and that what makes every blogger unique. As much as possible I don’t want to tell fantasies like other bloggers who makes a make money online blogs and tell readers that it’s very simple to make money online if you will just buy their ebooks or to just visit their site for them to click their ads. As much as possible I want to be transparent and share my experiences as a blogger and an online entrepreneur. Unlike some bloggers who teaches making money online but they are still working and have a day job, I’m a full time online entrepreneur who makes a living entirely online so I guess you can say that I’m realistic.
